Kings of Eridu by The Grey In Between in This Distant Sun (warning: atrocious recording quality)

I've accidentally learned that Jamendo moved away from free music (free as in freedom; licensed under Creative Commons) a few years ago. I could see it coming, as they were becoming shady around 2010 already. Anyway, it's good to see some works archived in the Internet Archive.

Why would you choose that song as the quintessential pick for CCR? I would probably go with proud mary or lodi

I turned 16 and got my driver's license in the summer of 1968, but I didn't actually see Creedence until the spring of 1972.

Proud Mary is a cover song and Lodi is an atypical blues-like number. "Bayou" distills it all into one perfect package.
