My Christmas-time work setup: a white Leopold FC900R keyboard with black Cherry MX switches and mixed-and-matched white, red & green Tai-Hao ABS keycap sets. Custom-made pine display stand.

Happy Holidays!

That IBM-branded Chicony is rather good for a rubber dome. Better than e.g. Cherry MX Black

Actually, I didn't realise it was rubber-dome until I took it to bits to clean.

The black eMachines one is about what you'd expect, and the soldering-iron hole shows why I wouldn't want anything very good there. I used an Amstrad PC for twenty years so my idea of what constitutes good is pretty low.

Here's the Zed desk.

It's just as disorganized as me behind those monitors.

To the right is my "main" pile of keyboards. The ones I actually pull out and use from time to time.
Shamefully, I am not good at taking a picture of the whole setup.

A lot of this stuff was gotten from public surplus auctions. A good source of monitors, wrist rests, file storage shelves, and the occasional keyboard, from my experience.

(edit: Picture seems upside down. I need to fix that)
(edit2: Picture fixed, rehosted)

I don't really hate MX Black, however I have a Cherry G80-3000LPMEU which I sort of wanted to use for my retro gaming setup, but it's so meh that I vastly prefer my NMB-made Dell QuietKey.

Make sure to crank up the brightness and contrast to 100% - no point in having a CRT monitor without enjoying the full blaze of light coming to you from the cathodic tube during winter season :D

I want to use this CRT for as long as possible so I must keep the brightness low.

Of course. I was trying a joke-combined-with-a-warning - much as I like CRTs for their coolness factor, I wouldn't use one for daily work - it's way worse on the eyes than a LCD.

Comfy. Why not get a high end CRT? Syncmasters (personally recommend a 959nf) are prety easy to find, make sure horizontal refresh is 110kHz and you should be good.
Also keep an eye out on mitsubishi, eizo, trinitrons (kinda overhyped),viewsonic,...etc. since most of them are pretty amazing :D

It is the IBM rubber-dome model that I really like, especially the versions with trackpoint. It's smooth with the right degree of tactility for my style and comfort. I still miss that black IBM trackpoint desktop keyboard till now.

I'd place money that you're ever so slightly OCD.

How do I know? You aligned the curvature of the earth and the laptop precisely ;-)

idk, the left corner of the desk says otherwise  (nothing wrong with an organized mess)

More importantly , why is the Unifi camera pointing directly at the access point ? I know the AC SHD is expensive but its not THAT expensive that it needs its own camera :P.

We use loads of unifi stuff, love it!

Due to a fresh diagnose of carpal tunnel syndrome, I’ve switched to a RollerMouse. The keyboard is a Topre Realforce RGB with SA Honeywell caps (plus a few extras).
