I bought this dell at101 and I was wondering if it had pbt keycaps. The rest of the case is yellow but the caps aren't. It is a silitek model. The fcc id is gyum97sk.

By the looks of it yes it does have pbt key caps I'm going by the way the case has yellowed and the key caps have not. The other possibility is that the key caps were replaced somewhere down the line and have not had a chance to yellow yet hope that helps.

I don't think any silitek dell at 101 have pbt caps. The spacebar is equally unyellowed even though it would be ABS in any case.

GYUM97SK should be ABS, and as noob mentioned, the spacebar hasn't yellowed. I'm thinking transplant.

It also has the old logo on the case...

You don't need to look past the homing bars to identify these caps; no, they are not PBT.

Also the switches seemed to be lubed. I took one of the switches apart and it felt like it was lubed.

IMO, it doesn't need lubing. I have lubed the sliders of my Dell AT101 once. It changed the feel and click, but can't say it was a big improvement so I removed the lubing at the end.

No, the switches already seemed to have been lubed.Which I find weird for black alps to be lubed. My understanding is that only early alps were lubed. I guess this board may have been tampered with, which would explain the keycap swap.

You're right, only early Alps were lubed. Alps stopped lubing and used smoother plastic sliders instead with later models.
Have you checked the tactile leaf ?

I've mentioned it several times before, but nobody seems to pick up on it xD . I've found lube on switches as late as bamboo blacks xD .

The deep voice gets lost in all the noise.

The deep voice should tell us more and enlighten us with keyboard lubing video's ;-)
... it's first time I read about lubed bamboo blacks.

I have opened around half of the switches so far for cleaning and the lube amount varies by large amounts. The num-lock had generous amounts of lube, some just have like a film of oil, and some feel like they have none at all.

Wait. Like, actual grease? That doesn't seem right...

Not grease, but like a light oil film on it.
