Would you be so kind as to send me a few strands of hair
for my vood... er... I mean... for no reason
whatsoever?
I can't blame you for feeling that way now, because those SSK's absolutely blew my mind. I never imagined to find anything of that scale there. I'm still going back to the moment I realized what they were under that huge pile, it still seems so
unreal.

That's what I meant. At 250, you'll sell them FAST. Tune up the price, and they won't go as quickly, but I do think you'll be able to sell them at 300 without issue. Just don't go all greedy, like that ¿1avid_collector? dude on eBay, who's had an almost NOS, bolt-modded SSK for more than 400 bucks for MONTHS and it still won't sell.
I definitely don't plan on going insane, even if I found only two of these the pricing would be the same. I'd love to get that ebay post.

Tempting... tempting... (as long as it's indeed a full SABRE set, without any replacements from other keyboards (the space doesn't count))
Totally, I wouldn't charge someone that much for a frankenstein of a keyset.

No, those weren't NIB, but I seem to remember they were in great condition, and it was a LARGE lot of them (more than 100, IIRC). I still haven't found the GH thread.
Well 100 is hard to beat
$150 is definitely not what I'm gonna price them at, I think the OG box and sealed cable adds value to say the least.
In either case I'd love to see that thread.
Yeah that board got a fair bit of attention. I'm glad its off my hands now to be honest since those alps dyesubs are spectacular.

Thirty NIB SSKs :-O
That’s unreal.
Yeah I'm still finding it hard to believe. Maybe I'll unbox more of them later to check and the rest will be rubberdomes or something.

I actually feel like $250 might be a little bit high when there’s suddenly 30 of them on the market at once and considering they’re being offered by someone in the community rather than an eBay parasite; that Geekhack sale comes to mind where they went for $150, but as mentioned those were not NIB so ... I don’t know. $250 is probably reasonable.
I'm not going to use that GH find as a benchmark until I have a thread, and I'm guessing that was a long time ago. Stuff went for a lot cheaper a few years ago. It's honestly tempting just to hoard them so I have thirty SSK boxes staring back at me when I fall asleep.

OTOH it’s not for me to say; I own two SSKs already and I don’t collect keyboards just to let them sit in boxes - so I wouldn’t jump on them at any price really. I’d love to see them go to people in the community who a) will unpack them and use them, and b) don’t already have one.
In any case, congrats on the find and GLWS
Thanks, all the feedback and replies in this thread are very much appreciated. I'm not going to list what I have gotten recently for awhile until I sell some of the other stuff and have more space and more
PRICE CHECKS still have no clue what some of this is worth so listing anything is a nightmare.

That's absolutely insane.
As for some pricing
For IBM 5140 keyboards, generally they go from $160-220 depending on condition. Sometimes less but those get swiped up pretty quick.
Thanks for the input, I would love for someone to buy the actual unit and get something out of it rather than just ripping out the boards on these guys.

I thoight it was 4 SSKs, but then the text says .... 30 - great finds!
Yeah even finding four would be ideal, but 30 was a dream come true. It's to relish in the finds when I have so much work to do photographing, cataloging, shipping, cleaning, storing, photographing, listing, and so much more. I probably need to make a thread like this on Geekhack, the more interest the better so I have a better idea of what to price it all at when its time.
Hissss!
