Apple IIc keyboard in custom wood case. The case was made deliberately roomy to allow for optical acoustics. Alps SKCM Amber switches. Hope you enjoy the video .

Nice case, but the hight looks kinda painful for long typing session.
Not to sound snazzy but: is it just me or do these Ambers sound particularly scratchy/chalky?

Very nice! Yours even has the lock buttons exposed I see!
Yeah, really enjoying it - it is indeed converted to USB (the converter is inside the housing).

Was planning to do aluminum for a Zenith Z-150 homage, but considering wood now. Sounds so much nicer. Getting a CNC router very soon.

Honestly for compatibility sake, I think that ProWorld switches are very close to Ambers but they are MX mount instead.
Therefore, I think that they are top tier/god clicky switch.

Yes, but at that point you're getting extremely obscure and I think you can probably count the individuals with boards of those switches on two hands.TheInverseKey wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 20:31Honestly for compatibility sake, I think that ProWorld switches are very close to Ambers but they are MX mount instead.

Unless you have some laying around, in which case, I've wanted to try one.

Hmmm we shall see, after I build the board with them I will be putting some up for sale on my site.ZedTheMan wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 21:01Yes, but at that point you're getting extremely obscure and I think you can probably count the individuals with boards of those switches on two hands.TheInverseKey wrote: ↑18 Sep 2019, 20:31Honestly for compatibility sake, I think that ProWorld switches are very close to Ambers but they are MX mount instead.
