Offered $35, free shipping and the seller took it. Took a bit of time to ship, but came in a massive box with tons of bubblewrap.

Followed your lead and offered 35, shipped pretty quick but with less bubble wrap in a smaller package

Overall it seems much dirtier than yours but the only broken key is the spacebar. True luck of the draw it seems

Interesting, the red key on your has white instead of black lettering. The top shell easily comes off with 4 screws. Warm soapy water + a toothbrush followed by rubbing alcohol and eventually brass got mine pretty clean, but I still need new rubber feet.

Does your caps lock actually lock? Mine seems broken.

Luckily most of those marks and grime will clean up, shame about the spacebar (I might just be really dirty, I'm not sure how to lube these switches yet).

There doesn't seem to be any processor on this board. So maybe the protocol will turn out to be interesting.

I cleaned mine off with just some dawn and a toothbrush for now, it didn't get everything off but it's mostly clean. And still gray.

As for the logo there were definitely variations since the one rayndalf recieved had gold lettering and mine was unpainted, but mine also had pencil markings filling all the letters probably from some bored kid studying in 1988, so that may also be why the a was filled on yours.

Only the spacebar on mine was cracked to the point of inoperability but at least 50% of the rest are cracked more minorly.

If you crack the code (or lack thereof) on the protocol make sure to keep us updated. I'd love to get this board up and running but with my skills it would probably end up being a fire hazard that only works 40% of the time

Avant Stellar, wonder whats the connection with Omnikey?

Avant Stellar is a rebranded Gen4 Northgate Ultra-T. Programmable and Windows keys, but the EEPROM that holds the programming is supposedly prone to trouble. Switches are simplified Alps (SKBM), at least on mine, which is black like ddrfraser1's.

There was also an Avant Prime, which is a rebranded Gen4 Northgate 101. BAE and Windows keys, programmable, not sure if the Prime was available in black, or in beige only. The Avants are heavily built, just like Northgates, with a metal base and plate. But the keycaps are printed, not doubleshot. Good candidates for earlier Alps switches, and better caps if you can cobble together a set to match the odd layout. I ANSIfied mine, and used most of a Tai Hao Dolch cap set.

Don't know it they worth that much as they used simplified alps switches, normally I'll think they can't compare with the complicated alps in typing feeling but I'm no expert tho. Probably will try to get one as I really like the back metal case and metal plate, especially when most alps kbds I came across were with common crisp plastic cover and base.

I prefer early SKCM switches myself, but it's easy to swap those on the Northgates/Avants. If you're not in a hurry just wait for a cheaper one. They come up on ebay all the time. I think I paid $45 for mine. But then I'm cheap, I've never paid more than $50 for a keyboard. There are a lot more options for the layout on the Northgates. Avant had only the two models.

Yep, but it takes years to learn how to close one eye and hold your mouth just right to make it work.

I'm planning on it. I've been wanting to get some keycaps -- I'm missing 5, I think -- and clean it up before I put it in the Wiki.

EDIT: I did add the USw LMBW02 switch to the NTC KB-6151 page. Based on experience, if the keyboard is an NTC, it could have just about any switch.

Those are the later lasered keycaps (maybe the RGB mods aren't). The ones with Cherry doubleshots or probably Cherry dyesubs (with sublegends) are more desireable.

Datacomp DFK 122 SPBA11 $40. $15 shipping to me.
Futaba MA inverse cross mount. Rather uncommon because it's a black keyboard with black keycaps and orange legends on the top row (not dirty; there's an example in the Wiki). Spanish layout. I'd buy it if I weren't waaaaaaay over budget this month.
