Digitizer as replacement for mouse?

Check this out: http://www.braun-phototechnik.de/en/pro ... la-12.html

"A natural, easy-to-use replacement for a
mouse or trackball. A creative tool that
will make your PC a source of endless fun."

That sounds like a done deal, except it would be a chore for me to try one (hard to get it where I live), so I come here to ask if anyone has used something similar (a graphic tablet / digitizer) as a replacement for a mouse? What about it?

I have a Wacom Intuos graphic tablet...

- Awesome for Photoshop retouching and drawing
- Okay but awkward for OS navigation and general usage
- Impossible to use in games (except perhaps RTS and SimCity style stuff)

I use a Wacom Bamboo tablet (size S) as mouse replacement. Same opinion as TheSoulhunter.

Great for precision strokes, but can't replace a mouse.
