If you are wondering what it does: it is more proof that this keyboard is an oldie. The keyboard can switch between the protocol of the earliest IBM PC / PC XT and the newer IBM PC AT and IBM PS/2. So if you want to connect it to a PS/2 port, you obviously want to put it in AT mode.tinlong117 wrote:I wonder the board come with at and pc switch

Going by the date code, it is from 2001. Can't believe the caps are original. Seem to be from a Dolch unit.
ps: edit scale the images by 50% and they look less shitty!

this board is not bought from taobao, from a "computer compoment reclycing centre" or something like that..... but actually, it is a frankenstein board , although the board and the case is 1813 HFU, but when i disassemble it, the serial of the board is 000293 , while the case is 000300hasu wrote:Nice Dolch keycaps. It is not a surprise if they put together parts from faulty boards and make a frankenstein board there.

I've never seen an actual 1813HFU label on a case before. It is the right model number for a Dolch 1800, but... it's strange. I did the same with mine when I got it, putting it in a normal 1800 case with ps/2 cable. I went with black case version since I already had one from a g81, but the white looks better I think.
edit: added photo of mine.

One oddity I noticed when I did the case swap is the numlock and caps lock lights are reversed on the case label compared to the led location. Is it the same for yours, or is it correct? I think that would be a giveaway if it is Frankensteined or legit.
