Please keep the iso return with symbol or text or both in one kit

... We've already spend too much money on keyboard to miss this one...

okok. I'll keep both.
text or icon depends on which mod set sells better I guess.

In my modest opinion, you should rather ADD a 1u key to the numpad: a centered comma (matching the dot)
(On the other hand, I don't think many of us use their keyboards as POS devices and really need a double zero.)

can't do that, I have to cut the setup cost.

I'd say drop both the "00" and "=" from the numpad and move the "," into the numpad. Or maybe swap those two keys (00/=) into the mono legend. The reason for that being that for a complete mono legend keyset you will have to get the numpad anyways, and countries with the comma decimal separator get the correct numpad comma this way without having to buy the mono legend set for a single key.

Depends whether you want 12345 or !@#$% across row 1. I want the latter, so I don't need the numpad kit except for full size compatibility (always a temptation). Unless I'm missing something?
Then, for a really classic look, there's always this:

But without numpad you don't have access to single ".", do you?

I got a set of these (or at least very similar caps) with that Jarltech POS board that Kint proxied for me. They're great!

How much will it affect the feel of typing that we only have all row 3 profile? Isn't it weird to type on?

it's different. but you get used to it. personally I like it.

Any comment to my proposal, matt3o?

I'm planning on going with the angle brackets (<>) and double quotes in my alpha zone, since the difference between comma, quote, and dot is so minimal.
Also, the equals sign is already in the mono kit, just as a light gray instead of dark...
Come to think of it, adding the dark key to the light mono set would add the extra setup for just that key that we're trying to avoid, right?

The thing is, I would be sad to have everything perfect except the numpad comma, since I'm not gonna buy a whole set just for one key out of it. I planned to get 2 keyboards worth of sets (1 tkl and 1fullsize), which for me means getting basic, modifiers, iso enter and intl. de/it/fr twice, numpad, icon pro and rgb twice once. With the Numpad having the "wrong" decimal separator, I think I would drop the whole fullsize configuration, since I would always know that something is amiss. Call that OCD or egoistical if you like, but that's the way it is.

The quote for the numpad was wrong. I can put the 1u back to the Numpad. Sorry about the mess.
Everything's ready!

I would hate to loose the legended ISO enter. Sure, $6 is much for one key, but it's a small added cost when going for a full ISO set. Does putting blank + legended ISO enter i one kit help it out?

I talked with Melissa (from Signature Plastic), they will be fixing some of the issues with the software and I agreed on using their system and benefit of the very nice price tag. So this GB will be using the internal SP system. Thanks to 7bit who offered to take care of it.

Excellent. Now, if you'd set the deadline nice and long so we have few months to save up to cover this thing!

What do you mean with 'internal SP system'?

Would it be possible to arrange for an European proxy even if SP is running the buy? I will probably have to opt out of the set if not as I would end up paying close to 50% of the sets value just in taxes/fees to get it to my doorstep.

I was about to ask a similar question! SP direct prices are great but import costs to the UK are nasty

How will this work, will the whole order send to you matt3o in the first place? Hopefully somwhere in the EU for me, so I don't pay taxes

Posted: 19 Mar 2014, 08:40
by matt3o
the best would be to find a proxy in EU from a country with loose import taxes and low shipping fees.
