Bottom row in original HHKB has 1.5u Meta and 1u Alt :?

True, that is the default layout, but on mine I use the DIP switches to swap them. I like my Alt next to my spacebar. Because I don't use a Mac. :)

Maybe 7bit could include both options. :geek:

I can change this ...
But: Both options cost extra!

okay it seems 7bit doesn't want my pro-bono money. let's proceed with an additional order then...

I need a clarification: even though the name of the set is Honey/HHKB, these are still Cherry-switch keycaps, correct?

In other words, despite the name, I cannot put this set on an actual HHKB?

If I am wrong, and they actually would work on a real HHKB somehow, let me know and I will have to add to my order (once again).

no, you can't use them on topre switches. the name just reflects the key sizes (which are the same as an HHKB).

Woah, finally I've worked it out (I think anyway). I decided to go the Tipro route, attached is a look at the layout I have settled on… Inspired in large part by Muirium's Custom 60% Matrix concept. I'm new to all this, so if there are any glaring holes in what I have come up with, please let me know, so I can fix them before finalizing the order. The top area will use legendable keycaps from Tipro for various app shortcuts, macros etc.

Should I make all the blank POS modifiers row 3, or should I match them to the profile of the alphas? Either option is doable… any thoughts?

Why don't you get a HONEY/POS kit?

Doesn't it only have 4 x double width keys for each colour? Just to clarify, are you suggesting to mix up my modifiers with different colours? Or am I missing something?

Oh also here are the links to the K-L-E projects: Tipro Layout.

Oh sorry yes, I was thinking about HONEY/POS4/BLANK. I did look at HONEY/POS- but I wouldn't really use many of those keys, so decided against it in the end. My work involves motion graphics and CG so any programming specific keys are of little use to me.

I'm not dead, just trying not to make a nuisance of myself after I saw where I was in the order request ranking. Though I wonder how the daft122 is doing...

Certain pictures from here are making me think I should get another black set or two...

That bump reminds me, I am excited to put this on my Ergodox. I'm planning on getting the NUMERIC kit to make my numbers row single-legend for extra impact.

Most of my woes with getting the perfect layout at this point have to do with Dvorak; I can't do other colors of Alpha, and I can't get single-legend punctuation on the right rows. Ah, alternative keyboard layout woes...

Is it 100% sure everyone that have ordered will get their keys? Even though I'm way behind and ordered today..

:o
Amount of key caps ordered:
49016 key caps (196.06 %)

Indeed, more black options would be nice. It probably is a little too late now.
... though out of curiosity 7bit, how much do you reckon a FUNCTION2/BLACK would cost each? ;D

$200 for one or $8 each if 25 are sold.
:o

BTW: Only one day to go!!!!
:o

Why is HONEY/SHIFT200/BLACK (SHIFT key 2 units (row 3; black) | $7) $7, but the other sizes range from $1-$3?

I want them too. So do a lot of people. But they won't be added because it's too late

If I add them, people want language kits for them and then more and more ...

All I could do is add an ALPHA/GREY kit but never any language options!

Costs $59 now but will be cheaper if more than 25 are ordered ...

I wanted greys, they weren't coming so I got blacks instead. I'm pretty much done, I might take some endangered sets if really really needed...
