I would love to see a full size ANSI NovaTouch. However, I am not holding my breath.

Standard with keycaps are currently $159 vs the barebone at $149... That's how cheap the standard keycaps are

I would like to see a reveal by either Topre, CM or both at Computex too. That being said, if something Novatouch related is in the pipeline it won't be for this year; CM told me there will only be one other keyboard release in 2016 for them and it's an MX board.

I'm not so sure the Novatouch sold well enough for CM to bother with alternate versions of it. I'd love to be wrong though.

Hi guys

One man is selling his novatouch 100% work, layout ITA, for 47 euro shipped, with this:

Here u can buy a new novatouch for 110 Euro shipped in one shop.
Do u think this is worth?
Other question:
Is it possibile to change the case with something 100% compatible, without pay 10000 euro?
Is is possibile to change layout ITA, to ANSI, with change keycaps? Or it`s impossible for stabs (enter)?

There's a custom case thing going on over geekhack.
You already know it's cheap, so whether it's worth depends on how much you're willing to take the risk...

I don't think you can change the layout easily as you would need a new metal mounting plate.

Here's the link to the IC for the case:

Looks like it is going to be done through Massdrop (i.e. factor in customs as well).

250$ is tooo much...and there is always the problem with layout =(

Basically save yourself the bother of a replacement case. They're not expensive boards now. Get an ISO model and your caps will be fine.

Shitty ISO indeed! The NovaTouch that gets any use from me is my ANSI.

I jumped on this yesterday. Now here's me thinking whether the ~$25 I have saved is worth over ANSI.

@Erzegovaz ...my first reaction was what the heck did he do with his keyboard?

I have some news

First, i can use without topcase, if it`s possibile. I`m just afraid about dust, do u think it is a problem? Is there any fix?
---
I discover that the keyboard owner live in my city, so i can easy take a look and try the keyboard. He told me that the case was broke when he opened the case for clean, so it wasn`t a big punch or something. What should I take a look during our meeting?
---
And I have a friend that work with wood, maybe he can build a case with wood with the perfect size of PCB (just the bottom, cover it`s too hard and expensive). Is it possibile insert the PCB with Cable in a wood homemade case without problem (elettric, vibration or idk)?

I`ll pay 40 euros, then add just 30-40 euros for put the ISO UK keycaps. Is it possibile change ISO ITA-->ISO UK right?

Yup. The physical layout being standard; ISO is ISO.

I've opened the case countless times during the silencing mod, I admit some brute force is needed but I cannot imagine it would break like that in that area...
For the wood case, I don't think you'd have any problems. The stock case is pretty basic. The forward and backward edges of the plate is curved downwards in right angles which acts as supports, in contact with the bottom case. Everything would work without the top part of the case.
While dealing with the seller, check the consistency of the switches by feeling them one by one while put next to the ears.
