I am ready with the updated version of the FSSK. It is called V1.00

Notes on this version

• It is the same version as the prototype one with corrected errors.
• It does not have the extra keys that XMIT suggested. This change required a redesign of two rows which add risk that I will not take in the production unit.

Idollar, do you think you'd be able to post a video showing step by step how you bend the PCBs? I know you feel it's very simple, but it's the part of the process I'm most worried about. My greatest fear is that I'll end up cracking it or otherwise break something.

I do not take videos But you will get pictures, lot of them, with information on how to bend the PCB and all others phases.

I WILL NOT SEND any PCB without testing the new design first. This is simple in my case as I have built a "connector" between the FSSK1 PCB and the controller. I just have to unscrew one of the SSKs that I have, replace the membrane, solder an new cable to one of the FSSK V1.00 PCBs, put all together again and report the result.

I plan to create a new "clean" tread with the full process with lot of pictures, as much as I can do.

Yes, that sounds good to me! I really appreciate your patience.

Though, a video will always be more enjoyable and easy to understand than just pictures.

And I also think it's easier to do. You don't have to stop what you're doing every five minutes to take a picture!

I'm surprised that this only has 15 orders. Everybody is missing out. I suppose the Ellipse Model F fever is running high.

I don't even use my SSK, but this is simply too cool to miss out on. The only thing that leaves me saddened is the lack of a metal barrel plate.

2) Why don't you create one ? Holes and barrels, that's all what you need

You might start using it now.

A barrel plate can be created, similar to the XTant project. Someone just needs to design it. Could be you, could be me, could be your next door neighbor, just need to put in the work.
