They certainly should. When I said "surprised" I hope it didn't sound like I was quibbling, more that I was unimpressed with them! Though I doubt it was necessarily a case of them being cheap, just not realising the value of a good keyboard.

Most people don't unless they happen to run across one. Quite a few of the authors I've read back in the mid '80's and '90's wrote in the afterword of their novels their experiences of trying to get custom computer keyboards that meet their needs and styles.
