A little tactile bump
Nice.
And why is this confusing and misleading exactly?Muirium wrote: 28 Jan 2023, 09:03 How I’d love to automatically lock first posts after a certain time so sales threads don’t melt into confusing, arguably misleading ones like this.
New threads are free of charge. Use one!![]()
somewhat funny given you spammed multiple old sell threads yourself with complete absence of the intention to buy anything..Muirium wrote: 28 Jan 2023, 09:03 How I’d love to automatically lock first posts after a certain time so sales threads don’t melt into confusing, arguably misleading ones like this.

This is no way to treat an old and respected member of the forum, shame on you.soyuz wrote: 31 Jan 2023, 19:31 do you post in every thread muirium, or only the ones where you have nothing of value to contribute?
you got "old" right, not sure about the rest lolDingster wrote: 31 Jan 2023, 20:44This is no way to treat an old and respected member of the forum, shame on you.soyuz wrote: 31 Jan 2023, 19:31 do you post in every thread muirium, or only the ones where you have nothing of value to contribute?
Some facts:
- you are British
- you joined the forum in 2021, so you are most likely a Discord troll
- you're probably a Chyrosran22 viewer
Next time please exhibit better behavior or at least show some respect for other benevolent members of the forum. Thanks.
I have to side with Muirium here. There's no way to actually read this thread now or even know what it was about in the beginning. That makes all the posts which follow worthless.Muirium wrote: 31 Jan 2023, 19:04 You edited your first post to obliterate sold items. The result […] is a goofy hybrid […]
Or, as an alternative which fortunately is frequently used on DT, edit the opening post to put old stuff in a spoiler or mark it "sold" or strike it out?Why not start a new thread to sell a new item? […]
You probably mean… nothing of value to you. Certainly Muirium's post was a good reminder.soyuz wrote: 31 Jan 2023, 19:31 do you post in every thread muirium, or only the ones where you have nothing of value to contribute?
Kind of glad I am not the only one who has picked up on Soyuz's track record. I get people being frustrated if a thread gets side tracked but Soyuz just seems down right vitriolic 90% of the time. I suppose you can only expect so much from someone when they unironically use Garfield as a profile picturekbdfr wrote: 01 Feb 2023, 09:29I have to side with Muirium here. But of course taking the heat out of the debate does not seem to be your usual behaviour:

This is a common practice to make a big sale thread when the community started to boom back in 2019. The simple reason is to establish credibility, since, unlike reddit market where you have a bot to keep track of past trade, DT forum has nothing like that.Muirium wrote: 31 Jan 2023, 19:04 You edited your first post to obliterate sold items. The result is a thread with a healthy number of comments (back on the first page, asking about a Wyse 60, gh1800, HHKB etc.), but none at all about the KPT84 you've actually got for sale. The result is a goofy hybrid of old interest and forced new topic, substituted in underneath them.
Why not start a new thread to sell a new item? What's the point in overwriting an old one? It's not like it started off so well.![]()
Fortunately, this thread follows the exact same practice. So. What is your point?kbdfr wrote: 01 Feb 2023, 09:29I have to side with Muirium here. Blasting away at my own sale thread? I think what you mean is you randomly go off at my sale thread, without understanding the context.Muirium wrote: 01 Feb 2023, 08:52 You’re not getting any younger yourself, love.![]()
My point remains: blasting away your sales thread looks like bad form, to me. Needless destruction.
You are right, I obviously missed the spoiler at the end of your post.ntv242ver2 wrote: 01 Feb 2023, 11:05Fortunately, this thread follows the exact same practice. So. Given my age, you might soon have to again apologize for what you yourself called a "cheap jab":
Has nam overwritten anything? All of his previously sold items are held in the spoiler at the bottom of the OP, no? Or were some things zapped entirely along the way, which only a mod/admin like yourself could be aware of?Muirium wrote: 31 Jan 2023, 19:04 Why not start a new thread to sell a new item? I would suggest you switch to learning from experience. It is a rewarding intellectual exercise, you’ll see.
