I've been using thick silicone grease, the stuff intended to keep water out of electrical connections, also sold as spark plug boot release. It only takes a tiny bit of that to kill the rattle, in fact more than a tiny bit makes things feel sluggish. The Super Lube may be a better choice. I just used what I had on hand.
