Those boxes, now that I think about it; I'll be coming by public transport...

Would still be interested though, if they are still rigid enough to stack two/three high; only mailing would be much more practical for me; would you have a bigger box that some of those would fit into (unfolded I'd guess); no clue how many you'd have, but 15 should tide me over for a little while

Perhaps I should just give in to rajapack... Their shipping was damn expensive though afair.
So a HHKB2 (MrInterface)
and any Realforce (...)

could someone bring shiny keycaps in and do a live demonstration of making them "unshiny"?

Simple, tie a keyboard to the bumper of your car and drive down the cobblestone streets.
Please post video after the party. The broadcaster is mistaken. We actually do this all the time in the USA.

I can do this!
I put a shiny keyboard into a box and then turn around the box.
Then I take it out again and it is not shiny anymore!
I can also cut through a keyboard box and take an intact keyboard out afterwards ...
edit: I bet neither CeeSA nor Mr Interface can do this!

Awesome!
So will there be Blue Alps, Monterey's and a few other of those hard/expensive-to-get-yet-probably-worth-it switches?

Even better. Besides the switches itself, I've got a full size blue alps keyboard and several monterey blue keyboards( mini and maxi )

I got two monterey blue boards as 'spare'..... I would be content departing from them for the same price I got them

might become an expensive

ofcourse, half the point of coming over is to test first, but definitely piqued my interest right there.

deservedly so though.
So I take the 'no cash will change hands, trades only' mantra is officially out the window?

Trades are fine on that day, just no cash. Just check out the goods someone would like to sell, then deal with the money after the party. I just don't want to have the party feel similar to a flea market. That way, others who will join the party on a later time would still have a trade-chance.

On the one hand, that's some sound reasoning; on the other, there's the big pro that everyone is at the same spot, no shipping necessary at that time.
And ofcourse, if a deal is made (just agreed upon) sometime early that day, it'll still put people that arrive later out of that option..
Posted: 14 Jun 2012, 17:25
by Mrinterface
Let's set 17:00 as deal-time. That way everybody has a chance to arrive and check everything out.
Also, keep your money at home. You can always transfer the money for an item after the party.

Sounds great.
Sad part is that while doing the transferring afterwards you'll have that moment where you're staring at the total spent

Sad part in that is I don't have any such boards. Except a Dell rubber dome, which will probably turn in to another multimedia controller; and a capless Cherry MY board (removed the springs to test if it would be better, nope), which will probably turn in to a keycap holder.. also a second MX11800, will probably become a gift (addiction starter/educator) or a tkl; a yellowed AEKII that I'm still planning on making usable at some point; a trashed AT101, which... I wouldn't wish upon anyone; and lastly a disassembled Tulip slider-rubberdome, which has doubleshot alpscompatibles but all stabilised keys have shafts attached to fit into the sliderholes, and also wouldn't be wished upon anyone.
@Ascaii; YAY!
Do post list.
