Note some ergodox have been hard to get a sizable quantity.

For Calming depths it was around 40 which was a good turnout.

Maybe I should develop a layout and call it the officioal ErgoDox layout.
BTW: If I find someone who collects PayPal money in USD, I can start the group buy on next Sunday.

is ISO enter included in any non-international kit?
Posted: 25 Oct 2013, 15:50

No, like space bars they have to be purchased separately.
They will also not be included in the language kits.

oh okay, that's fine then

What would be the minimum order for FR to keep this price?
Thank you

A last resort is to merge the less popular ones together.
Since Honeywell is a white space bar, this could be a good opportunity to really make some interesting sizes. 4 units, 5 units? White goes with everything. Especially black.

For a noob interested in the sixty and TKL, does it men's I just have to buy the sixty and TKL and the space bar for a complete set? Is there a guide or something?

@ Belfong & Incognito: welcome to the (often mysterious) world of 7bit's group buys! This is just an interest check for various basic kits. Don't read too much into it.
Belfong wrote:For a noob interested in the sixty and TKL, does it men's I just have to buy the sixty and TKL and the space bar for a complete set? Is there a guide or something?
There will be. The sixty kit is a new idea. We'll see exactly what he comes up with. I think you'd need an appropriate choice of mods (which one of Honeywell's colours) to go with your TKL kit.
Incognito wrote:No multimedia keys? (Prior, Play, Next, Volume Up, Volume Down, Mute, etc.)
No dark ~' or |\ keys?

Round 4 had an immense selection of strange caps. It's a pretty safe bet you'll get what you want. I'm in for media keys and alternate |\ colours too.

DE,DK,SE,FI,NO are almost the same and support each other, so there is no problem to offer all variants.
PT has some more different keys but shares 67890 and the row 2 keys with them.
IT and ES have different 67890 keys but still share row 2 keys with the kits above.
FR is completely different.
I've prepared all these layout graphics, so through the short start phase when I don't collect money they will be all available, but when there are not at least 8 orders for FR layout, you can forget it.
This is the price list for 25 sets of DE, SE, SK, NO combined,
8 sets of PT, ES, IT, UK each and 12 sets of FR:
Code: Select all
HONEY/DE | 20| $19|DE_language_kit
HONEY/SE | 21| $19|SE_language_kit
HONEY/DK | 21| $19|DK_language_kit
HONEY/NO | 20| $19|NO_language_kit
HONEY/PT | 18| $39|PT_language_kit
HONEY/ES | 21| $39|ES_language_kit
HONEY/IT | 17| $39|IT_language_kit
HONEY/FR | 27| $45|FR_language_kit
HONEY/UK | 6| $15|UK_language_kit

I just have to add some missing kits, upload them to the wiki and post the Round 5 thread.
This will take only a few more days.
Awesome! i've been around long enough to never assume an IC goes to a full GB. Glad you're doing it though. The Round4 caps i've gotten are my favorite sets, bar none.

I will upload some graphics over the week-end.
The SIXTY kit is to cover most 60% keyboards (HHKB-style or GH60 etc.).
TKL is a minimalist Filco Tenkeyless kit, without an extra stepped Caps Lock etc.
TENKLESS is for different Tenkeyless layouts, like the Phantom.
Incognito wrote:No multimedia keys? (Prior, Play, Next, Volume Up, Volume Down, Mute, etc.)
No dark ~' or |\ keys?

I did not yet post any layout graphics. Thwere wil be a FUNCTION kit. The fatter kits like STANDARD or TENKLESS will come with dark ~' or |\ keys.
The 25 choices in the poll are only to see if there is enogh interst in this color scheme at all. Except for a bit low interstes in some language kits, everything looks really fine.

Just wait for the launch and you will see ...
Hint: The more special your layout, the more expensive it will be.
Hint2:

Does anybody know what the ergodox is supposed to be used with? Do people usually use different profiles or just make it flat?

I've got one fun idea to add on the subject of media keys.
I have a QPAD MX-80, I've shown a zoomed in picture of the media keys below.
They have an interesting way of dealing with media and function keys: effectively bundling the media symbols with the F keys. You access the media functions by holding down the FN key. It's pretty neat. Maybe the same could be done for the doubleshots? F number with media symbol on.
IIRC the Phantom firmware has a function layer. If the right windows key was replaced with an FN key (with some sort of arty symbol to represent a function, goodness knows what, maybe two circles with a pointy arrow between them), then the same functionality as the Q-PAD could be implemented.
Could add more media keys than the Q-PAD has and such too, potentially.

Looks like they use profiles.
A full set of keys with symbols on them would be awesome... I suppose it's a good thing that I don't own an ergodox.

This is where I'm sometimes confuse. The picture above doesn't have space bar. So if I owned a Poker 2 and bought a SIXTY, I must remember to buy a space bar too!!
