I think what Ripster was trying to say was that Mother Nature/God/FSM/etc. dropped the banhammer on Mr. Bradbury.

R.I.P, Ray Bradbury.

At least his books and pictures didn't get burned and #1 poll closed the day after dying.

Oh wait, that sounds bitter.

<shake it out, BREATHE....>

P.S. this is why I love Reddit:

I'm posting in a dr waiting room.

Kid getting his followup HPV shot.

GHr's sure seem afraid to bring up site issues, like locked wikis...

I've been working for the man from 6:30am-9:00 or later the last 5 days. I went onto GH and have the edit tab back. Too tired to add Sordnas pic/link for his super-palm-buttons. I assume it works. Maybe some peeps wanna collaborate and make the raw data more presentable.

EDIT--Something happened to my page....it's all jacked up :(

Looks ok to me

http: //geekhack.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=12099

At least YOUR attachments are viewable.

Hope things are getting better Input Nirvana!

The attachments are visible? They weren't when I looked. That's good, the photos tell the story. I thought they may have gotten borked when I changed the name or---?

Yea, each week things have improved. I can see improvement continuing for the next month or so as well. After that, dunno. Unfortunately where I am has serious limitations, so I will probably have to make a big move on my part at that point, which may burn who/what I'm doing now to stabilize everything. Don't want that. Decisions will be on the table. Cross that bridge in 60 days.

EDIT--- My ability to edit is gone again, if it was ever really there. And I can't see the attachments. Soarer is having similar issues. I assume it must be part of a system wide change/issue/etc. Uberben posted in the discussion area of the wiki, but my subscription did not notify me instantly via email though I have it set to. I'll check once a week to see if anyone posts or if it gets repaired.

Good thing I took Ripsters advice back in the day and copied the entire wiki into Word for offline editing. I don't know about the pics though. I'll have to check that.

I feel MUCH better now that even Geekhackers don't have access to their own wiki content. For a while there I was pissed my $20 donation to Geekhack was a COMPLETE waste of money but now I know it is just iMav's Customer Service SUCKS!

I think it was a reasonable assumption that someone who doesn't agree with his latest decisions would mess with it.

Such little faith so he burns ALL the books instead.

Wasn't Fahrenheit 451 in your HS reading list?

Normally ALL wikis on the Internet are editable by anyone. That is why they are called wikis.

Normaly they use a piece of SW that is NOT a pile of steaming shit called VaultWiki that was the worst $50 investment iMav ever made. You see, THAT is what the HISTORY revert function is for!

Meanwhile the sheep graze placidly, staring uncomprehendingly at the passing cars...

Normally. Unless there is a lot controversy about it. Wikipedia has plenty locked articles

I've just grabbed copies of all the pics in your article, at full size.

Sadly the names have been lost, so they're just 12345.jpg etc. (i.e. whatever the attachment number was).

Anyway, they're here if you ever need them... 38MB in 181 files !!!

That reminds me. I need to donate here.

Damn, wish you hadn't said that. I'm feeling a bit of German Guilt myself. What is the opposite of Schadenfreude?

All I know is Beethoven's 9th,

Freude, Freude, Freude, ...... Americans always did this tune best.
O Freunde, nicht diese Töne!
