Payment from LeslieAnn has been received and marked as shipped for Paypal purposes (to keep them from locking up the PP account). Invoices may or may not reflect the payments yet. Keep checking this thread for the actual ship date(s), or spam this thread/7bit via PM the message "WHERE ARE MY SWITCHES, DID YOU SEND THEM YET." This only includes payments to me via Paypal. Note that the address on your Paypal notifications/notes are not necessarily the addresses 7bit will ship your switches to, he ships to the address on your invoice.

what are some good tools and techniques for removing switches from a plate mounted board, i.e. Leopold?
Posted: 28 Nov 2012, 21:12
by HzFaq
If your board is plate mounted your only option for removing switches is desoldering them, so at least, you would need a soldering iron, desoldering pump/wick and some solder for putting the new switches back. It's pretty easy, I have a £20 soldering iron and a shitty pump and it took me about half an hour to switch out the switches on my Filco numberpad and the only previous soldering experience I had was about 15 years ago at school.
PCB mounted boards are easier, I usually use a bent paperclip to "unhook" the top of the switch from the bottom, search around the forums a bit, there are some pretty genius solutions (Limmys is pretty good IIRC).

NOTE: Your updated invoice may state that you have a balance of $1585.98. That, of course is a rather large typo in your favour (I forgot a decimal when inputing your payment), that will be fixed sooner than later.

...huh...interesting
Anyways...my address appears to have been slightly mangled through the process, bunch of A2's and C0's surrounding the province in the invoice. Just an alert in cause this cause's problems.

You've added these yourself:

Use 7bit-ASCII and it goes away.

Good luck to change your order if you changed your username instead of setting up a new account.
I also see trouble for Round 4.
You may help with sorting and even packing your own order, but because you can't change the shipping address it will land in a wrong place and disappear.

Yeah...I'm going to blame the copy paste. Sent an updated version this time typed out manually.

I don't intend to change my order, neither here nor on Round 4.
Why would I want to change the shipping address?

Maybe, by when your order ships, the house where you lived has been demolished, or you just moved somewhere else.
edit:
Shit! He really did it!
