Since that is a contemporary demand, my guess is they won't invent it in the future as well.
Who knows... I know they invented the reversed caps lock key.

What's the expected turn around for this MO? I was thinking about getting a new 'board with my 2012 tax return and I was wondering if these would be shipped in time.

if i look at the demand the poll shows I have my doubts this will happen anytime soon

Preorders will start in around 2 weeks. Don't know how long it will take until we actually order. A few months at minimum, but could easily be 6 months as with Round 3.

LOL! This poll is just to find out with which color/text-styles to start.

The real MO will take place at Deskthority and Geekhack.

The last time we ordered 52'000 key caps which are still distributed to around 250 people.

Within the last 2 months there had been a lot more posts on GH from people who asked when Round 4 starts, than post in this poll. Be sure, there will be enough demand for at least some of these color/text-style combinations.

The plan is to get together orders for at least 50'000 key caps, which should be not too much of a problem.

Would be nice if anyone could post pictures of all the available colors, I'm thinking of getting gray on black, or white on green. Was checking on GH aswell, and saw that clear keys could be ordered as well.
And I want to do some crazy lightning on my poker when that arrives ;)

White on green? I wouldn't mind that! :)

I love this thread!

It's a real thrill to see what colours are being proposed here. Not that I myself could imagine typing on anything else than a keyboard with a beige case and beige keycaps lettered deep black, but everybody is so enthusiastic here :D

i'm pleased to see that most of my chosen colours are in front :)

I'm for black letters on white.

And I can't imagine what gray on black looks like.
Does anybody have pictures from gray on black key caps?

Wouldn't gray on black look similar to black and engraved?

Are you color blind? This is not grey on black!

This image is just shopped but it gives you an idea of what it could look like. Depending on the exact color of gray/black, I think it could look very good.

There will be add-on kits for different languages ans some other extras. I also plan to make function keys, modifier keys etc available separately, so colors can be mixed.

here comes the next load of color-schemes:

Dark blue on white is cool
I also like black on white and green on black.

Will there be only one color combination, or let's say the top 3?

Thank you webwit!

This is entirely what I inteded!

Key caps should be available for the whole keyboard, or just modifieres, function keys, numeric block, etc, or even as single key caps, to have any color combination you would have ever dreamed of.
