If we are talking regular first-class mail, then I am fine with it. tinlong117 is the only one outside northern Europe whose shipping would be subsidised a bit more, which I am perfectly fine with because he put all of this together. The people who actually use the layout of the keyboard get subsidised too, but a little less. I would get a full keyboard for the price of shipping caps, because I pick it up in person at tlt's house. (not that I have any use for anything but the caps, but anyway...)

Blargh, I need to be more vigilant.

I got the keyboards now and have PM'ed you all about shipping. I will start shipping the caps this upcoming week. I would not recommend getting anything other than the caps. I have looked inside the boards and the parts are just MY specific crap as far as I can see.

I picked up my keyboard from tlt this evening, which wasn't that far from where I live. Thanks to tinlong117 and tlt and to everyone else involved!
This became my fourth full-sized Cherry MY keyboard that I have acquired for parts..

I combined the caps with a few others I had acquired, including a partial German set, and put them and the top shell on a German G80-3000. First row is still German POM keys, though. Sorry for bad photo...

Nice Findecanor, but why do you have DE bottom row keys? Which stem position do the spacebar have?

Bottom row has printed legends and the space bar seems to have a MY stabilizer system not compatible with MX

The 1.25 mods on the "winkeyful" G81-3000s have an offset stem, for some reason ... so I couldn't use those. They also all have printed legends, in both white and black which is a bit weird.

The Space Bar is specific to the G81-3000 (and maybe others with the same layout) and has MY-specific stabilisers.
It is not compatible with any known Cherry MX keyboard.. The stem position is actually the same as on the G80-3000. You could potentially use the MY stabilisers on a custom, or glue new stabiliser mounts inside the space bar, but regular black space bars are not that difficult to source anyway.

Edit: My G81-8008 did have a Cherry MX-compatible space bar. Sorry for the error.
Edit 2: Only the keys on the space bar row are incompatible with G80-3000. Only the space bar has incompatible stabilisers. All other keys are fine.

ah, okay thanks, I have only got one older MY board and it's got the same stems as on the G80. I guess I'll have to mod the stems.
