I'm in for 150

FYI, I was AFK most of the day yesterday but I should be able to catch up on orders and invoicing today. Everyone from the first round should get their packages sent out today or tomorrow and I'll get the original post updated with new orders later today.

So when is round two happening ?

It's basically already started but I'll most likely close the second round next Friday (4 May 2018). I'll see if I can get any volume discounts from the seller and extend the GB to reach that amount if applicable.

Great thanks for running this.
@pansku: new Alps don't need any hyping !

Updated original post with some additional information. Also added everyone that I could find to the buy-in table. If I forgot you, let me know and I'll add you to the list.

Great, this will finally let me build a nice Alps based custom TKL. Can't wait. Great find Blaise170!

I’m in for 150 switches please. I sent you a pm a few days ago. Thanks for running a second round; this is great!

Got you added applehugger, oddly never got a PM from you.
Sent the seller a message to see if they will be willing to do any volume discounts and if so what kind of prices they would be looking for. They might not be willing but still a great price regardless.

Thanks Blaise. I wonder if there’s an issue sending PM’s from my phone. You’re the second person who didn’t get one I sent. Anyway, I appreciate it.

Not sure, I did get the one you sent a few minutes ago but you might want to check your outbox to see if the message actually sent or if it never actually materialized.

I just got mine in and they are great! Just as smooth as the original, with a better sound in my opinion. I have a sound comparison also with some yellow alps I had laying around. The color is definitely a bit lighter as people before me said, but no other differences I could tell besides a slightly different sound.

What will you guys do with your yellow alps once they arrive?

I might actually sell mine, I thought I might do some projects with them but I'm not sure at this point.

I have a Northgate Omnikey Ultra-T with some white ALPS that are in pretty bad shape. I’m putting in some Matias dampened tactile switches for now, but I will likely swap in these yellow switches once they arrive. ALPS makes the only linear switches on which I enjoy typing.

So there's about 105k of these left in stock? xD Looks like we will have stock of these for a while xD .
Shame, if anything, that these don't use SKCM housings! Imagine how many switches you could clean up with these!
When my SKCL greens at work finally give out, I may well transplant these into them, using the original coil springs to lighten them ^^ .

I think I also saw SKCM switches, but I don't remember if they were two-tab clones or actual Alps.

I was actually wondering about this. So you can’t put tactile or clicks leaves into these yellow alps housings? Is it because of the LED cutout in the top housing?
Fortunately, yellow ALPS are perfectly weighted out of the box for linears, in my opinion. However, it would be useful to rejuvenate clicky or tactile switches.

Chyros, did you get in on the Nexus Alps group buy ran by BlindAssassin111 over on geekhack? We ordered something like 10,000 new SKCM housings modified to fit cherry profile mx keycaps over them. It ended up being $0.80 USD per housing so quite a bit more expensive than these SKCL yellows, but after the tooling is made it should get quite a bit cheaper.

oh no, I read it as 'finally gave out', I was scared, but it wouldn't be too strange to think that, due to the 20 million lifetime.

No, I didn't, but I'm also hesitant to spend money on them tbh. I don't know anything about the quality or the materials involved, and at the moment I don't hugely need MX compatibility as I have quite a large number of Alps keycaps xD .
