It's a nice color scheme, but I think most of its appeal comes from its rarity, as with so many keyboard items...

I for one wouldn't spend more on ABS doubleshots than on Cherry dye-subs.

Don't make me feel bad for sharing mine with someone who got the switches and I got the caps...

It's not only the keycaps. That board has 148 vintage Cherry MX Clear Switches !
But they're a pain to desolder - double sided PCB with plenty of thermal mass.

Thats a decent deal then, depending on the price of the switches :)

PS: Did not know "vintage" Clears existed!

I wouldn't call them vintage. I'd call them old & worn in - still nice! Vintage I would call 1990-1992, which are very hard to come by.

Well rare skidata... apparently the guy has still some good stock :)

can confirm the vintage clear (1992) have some interest feels B-) I still have bunch of them in the bag with the original dust and still to decide what spring I should pair them with

besides I found OG Cherry keyboards mostly are very easy to desolder

The Skidata boards were made by GMK AFAIK:

remember to outbid me here if you want it Chyros
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111907668471? ... .S2.R1.TR2

I dont really know why I put a min. bid on something I wasn't even interested in.

I just won this pretty cheap (1700jpy), a filco FKB-109J. Thanks to ohaimark for advising me. I'll probably sell it off here for close to what I paid soon since the only real reason I bought it was because I'd already put a deposit on j-subculture and got sniped on a bid

This has been up there for ages (at least a year and a half) and it's Greek of course, not Russian, from a Siemens T 1200 Teleprinter
I think it has RAFI switches.

Yes, obviously G84-4700 (i.e. ML switches) with pad printed caps.
Fully overpriced and not even USB.

Well, I guess hell must be quite expensive.

We've seen that very keyboard (or less likely a stash just like it) sitting around on this thread for years. Same seller in Cyprus. I'd like the caps, but I'm Scottish. If I paid that price (plus shipping) I'd be deported for bringing our proud national stereotype into disrepute…
