Tape on leopold 660c spacebar

Hello everyone. This is my first post here (and my first in any forum) so i am unsure if this is in the right section.
I just bought a Leopold 660c dye sub and it comes with ABS spacebar. I have heard of people using tape to prevent shine on the spacebar itself. I am wondering if I should do this.
I saw this tape at a local store:
It says does not turn yellow which seems to be what we want.
Any thoughts?

When I was quite fixed on keeping my HHKB in the best condition, I did use masking tape over the spacebar.
Added some nice texture, did get dirty fairly quick though, but you can easily just replace it.
If you're really worried about shine in the long run, you should maybe look into
the PBT Topre spacebar thread.

So, to avoid a shiny spacebar you will put a shiny tape on it? Seems a bit backwards to me...

I will take a look on that thread. I just added masking tape on the spacebar and dont really mind it so I might just keep it this way.

I think the goal is to find tape that is not shiny. The tape in my post seems to be the non-shiny type, but I cant really tell since they do not have any opened samples.
