Hello,
I'm new to mechanical keyboard, I recently purchased a quickfire tk and I'd like to know some things:
- Is it possible to change de switchs by only changing the stem ( the spring seems to be the same )
- Is it possible to wield cherry mx standard switch on a plate that previously had switch with diode
tks.

technically they are both possible but you can't open the switches from a standard plate. You need to desolder the switches first.

regarding the second question, the switch would fit, but if you plan on using the same PCB you have to find a way to solder the diode some other way.

Mh, ok,
Well, I don't really need the diode since I turn backlighting off.
Is it gonna work : re solder the quickfire tk without diode ?

you need the diode, maybe it's the resistor you are talking about? or the LED?

I didnt open the keyboard now, but I can see a small lightbulb ( diode or LED, dunno ) on the cherry switch, i suppose I'll need to desolder this, my question is : is it gonna work of I take that small led/diode off on the whole keyboard ?

ok so you want to remove the LED (yes technically it's a diode, but since you also have diodes on the pcb we usually reference to them as simply LED).

Yes, you can remove them without causing any harm.
