Advice sought for creating a keycap set for a GB

So let's say I have an idea for a keycap set (based on a vintage terminal) and I put up an Interest Check thread here. There are two scenarios that concern me:
As for kit bloat, what advice would folks here give regarding keeping the number of kits to a manageable level? I'm probably better than 7bit at saying "no", but not by much.
Lastly, I only want to do the set design; I don't want to run the GB (though maybe SP could take care of that on PMK, I dunno). Do a lot of proposals sputter out for lack of someone to take charge of the GB logistics?
- The idea becomes the victim of indifference and it dies on the vine.
- The idea becomes the victim of substantial interest and is faced with kit bloat of 7bit-ian proportions.
