Another big Cherry find today; 36 PoS boards, specifically G81-8000 LUVGB's and LPBGB's. All but two are black, and most of them are made out of thick, laser-infilled non-ABS plastic (I presume it's POM). Three however are doubleshots (HPBGB-2's). As with the previous find, none of them still have their cables (goddammit!) and many of them were in a big bag in which there were also several extremely rusty items so many have orange spots on them. The vast majority are missing at least one keycap.

I can't find much about these tbh, I keep getting pages about just the normal G81-3000. Anyone know more about these? The caps are really nice. Both the laser-infilled ones and the doubleshots are really thick .

Ooooh! I'm up for a couple sets of the lasered black caps if you're getting rid of them cheaply again. Great find! The double shots alone are worth a reasonable amount, but I'll refrain from taking care those as I just got a gorgeous set myself.

Apparently they are G81-8000 and not 3000.
Nice find, particularly the UK doubleshots.

Edit: as for the "vast majority missing at least one keycap", most of the time you can move caps between keyboads as a solution.
I shortly bought a job lot of "6 keyboards, 2 complete and 4 missing keys", and made 4 complete boards out of them

The black caps are indeed POM. Not the material for me at all. But the doubleshots are ABS of course, and quite nice.

Now… how about some pics of the all important bottom row, turned upside down? Cherry had a hateful habit of putting the stems off-centre on G81s just to rain on our parade. How thoughtful of them! Centre stemmed 1.25 unit mods are of course what everyone really wants.

What's POS about these keyboards anyway? (I can't see the pictures full size because of Photofuckit.)

Oh yeah, I forgot about the bottom row... bah! That's such a pain.

I'm glad I don't need to hunt those diabolically incomplete caps. Although I'd never say no to a nice thick set of Cherry dyesubs. I just know it's not even worth the mental effort to begin to try to find them. So much work, just to be outbid in the end by Photekq!

Yeah, well spotted, I mistyped 8000 as 3000. They are PoS as they all have a card reader. And yes, I'll put these on sale at some point again. Not going to put the whole boards on though, just the caps xD . None of them appear to be centre stem, though.

I'm guessing those doubleshots should fetch a nice price then? 8) Or a nice board you might want to see video-reviewed? (8
