I don't suppose anyone makes an ANSI 101 board with the standard IBM Model M layout, but with modern Cherry MX switches that can be just dropped into a Model M case?

I have this circa-1993 Model M that I have no use for, but I'm thinking maybe the case is worth harvesting and being used to house a set of modern spherical keycaps (e.g., Honey or Dasher). That's where the drop-in replacement board comes in. I imagine it would need a curved plate, and my keycap set would need a 7u spacebar, right?

Does such a thing exist in a pre-assembled form (so I can just stick it in the case and pop on the keycaps and go)?

You would have to build a kind of curved plate and somehow place the mx switches in there. But like I said... that doesn't make any sense.

Just get a G80-1000...

The G80-1000 case has nothing on a older model M. If MX is your thing and you want a fun project go for it. Wont need a curved PCB just make standoffs.
