Will someone with some Chinese and/or Martial Arts experience please explain what exactly is going on here?

They're making fun of Qigong, or Chigong. Qi is internal energy that masters can use to lighten their bodies, harden their bodies, generate force, or harm others' internal organs by transmitting it into their body.

The joke here is that they've mastered it to the point where they needn't touch to fight.

For me seeing is not believing in this case. I'm quite sceptical. Especially since this looks like a TV show.

That's because it's a parody. There is no way that was serious. Even Qigong masters of legend couldn't transmit their Qi over a distance more than (this is an estimate) 4-5 inches, and I think that those legends are BS anyways.

With enough focus, I believe that one can achieve a delimited state with one's muscles and nerves. That allows for spectacular physical feats, but nothing supernatural.
