Hello, I have about 1000 keyswitches that were given to me for a project but I want to test the switch before soldering it to the board. What is the easiest way to go about this? Thank you for your time!

You mean, if they work? Probably with a multimeter for continuity.

Out of curiosity; what switches are they?

They are cherry MX blue and black, and correct I am trying to see if they are mechanically working before I solder them on and have a huge problem

It's very unlikely they won't work, but yes, if you want to know for sure, use a continuity test with a multimeter.
