That’s regrettable to the Classic Beige kits that being cancelled for MOQ reason in the last year.
Photekq gives the much valuable advice to me when I tell him that I want to restart this project to who are faithful to the original CHERRY G80-3000HAU set in about 2 weeks ago. Thank you so much, Photekq.
The idea about this set is no need IC in my opinion because already done by Classic Beige.
I am sure that the GMK 9009 is not beginning when I want to restart the Classic Retro. And we are confident to do it without a doubt.

I am xiaodian, one of the new member here even you don’t know me yet, working at the distributor of Cherry in China, a fan who also loving the keyboard and keycaps just like you. The set be revised from Classic Beige but naming as GMK Classic Retro.

The highlight for this set including R5 level, Old windows and Menu, Cherry 1953 logo Enter key(Wording with double-shot, icon with printing),
Cherry 1953 logo on LED key be printed, Thanks so much Photekq's idea for it, so I put it directly into the set, sorry for not telling you yet.

The GB will be coming in some right time, I am not sure the exact time and the GB place for it and I will come back to you ASAP.

The kits are certain at this time, up to a point, but could revised upon your good advice.
So please don't heisitate to give your comment at here.

What is the point in the top kit at all considering the huge number of G80-XXXXHAD keyboards in cirtulation currently? People who want a DE keyset can get one for no more than 30 euro at almost any given time.

Also, having a random 1953 key in place of a windows key seems like a terrible idea... as an extra key, sure, but there's no way I'd use it by default.

Props on the 1U A-profile windows keys though, we need more of those.

As always, no AltGr cap.
For your information, AltGr is not just another legend for the right Alt key. In all European boards, AltGr is a modifier with other functions than Alt.

I do think there is sound enough reasoning for not including an AltGr keycap though.. Due to MOQ issues it is not viable to offer any proper EU layout support. So, if the alphanumeric legends are not going to be correct for any regional EU layout why does the AltGr matter?

Any GMK keyset that I saw in groupbuys the iso keys are already included in the base kit, so why not on this?
I think people will like a kit with only the modifiers because we can use our layout alphas from another sets.

^This.

The ISO kit and the 1800 kit will never reach MOQ, which means people who need ISO will jump off once the ordering phase is over. Splitting off ISO makes no sense at all with GMK.

(Just saying, I won't jump on a privately organised full set buy anytime soon after the IvanIvanovich desaster...)

Yeah, the 1953 wording is not good yet.
I have replaced it as the old windows key.

Classic beige is a very sought after kit and would sell really well.
Because many of us would like to put the og cherry kit on newer boards we unfortunately discover some obstacles:
- stepped caps lock - instead a normal stemmed caps lock
- 7u spacebar - instead a 6.25
- centre stemmed 1.25u r4 row modifiers, so they can be used on many mainstream boards from filco to poker.

If you would make a "transformer kit" too for all the og cherry users, that would be something imho. ;)

Already in the base kit for your 3 point.

I will cover the MOQ for the ISO at this time.

Photekqs GB had HHKB support instead of fancy keys, which I preferred. Wouldn't join another set that can't fill the unobtainable keys.

Thanks for your comment,
I could understand that the requirement from you by myself.
But the restarting this GB, it come from my company, the distributor of Cherry in China,
So it do not make sense for the HHKB in my opinion.

What do you mean by HHKB support? it already as pseudo HHKB support already, since I saw split RSHIFT, and WKL bottom row support. Admittedly, it doesn't have support for split backspace, but still.....
