Cherry MX RGB switches and Costar Stabilizers
Posted: 09 Aug 2016, 15:08
I built a custom PCB designed to fit in the Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid case and metal plate. I am using Cherry MX RGB switches and in order for the back lighting to shine through the key caps the switch needs to be oriented 90 degrees from a normal position. This creates a problem with Costar Stabilizers because they bump into the switch as the key cap is pressed down and so you can't easily press the key all the way down. I have tried bending out the stabilizer but then it bumps into the key cap. I have also tried using CODE Keyboard style stabilizers but they are preventing the keycap from "releasing" properly.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to solve this problem?
