For info regarding Focus FK-2002 keyboards, I have a "Vanilla" branded keyboard UK layout with £ key etc.
This brand is not in the list of known brands as given on the Wikepedia page. If interested I can upload pictures if needed.
Thanks

Yes please upload some pictures for our wiki thanks. Straight on shot if possible. I've never heard of a "Vanilla" branded FK-2002. What Alps SKCM is in there?

Sorry for the delay in getting back ... to be honest had forgotten totaly about the thread.

Please see the photos of my Vanilla branded FK2002 keyboard which I bought new way back in the dark ages.... Dont ask!

Still in daily use Windows10 etc, don't miss the windows keys or any of that nonesence, just a good old fashioned clicky keyboard with keys that are still as legible as the day I bought it. Most keyboards these days the characters wear off after a few months and are not a patch on the FK2002 and I dont like typing on Sponge!

The keys are White Alps and has a long curly cord with an old style "DIN" type socket. (I use a PS2 adaptor which is fine).
If you need any further info let me know.

Haha! When you said "Vanilla" branded, I was thinking unbranded. I didn't realize the was actually a "Vanilla".

That's what I thought, too.

I think I saw a Vanilla FK-2002 on eBay a long time ago, it came with a computer. Might well be this one.

I thought the same way. It was also funny to see the ® symbol. I wouldn't have thought you could register "Vanilla" as a trademark. I suppose it applies not only to the name but to the particular form of the script as well.

Hi, just registered to add that I also have and use one of these "Vanilla" branded FK-2002 keyboards (№ 80772433). The board is dated March 1989 and is fitted with Alps SKCM blue switches with white internal switch plates.

I found the keyboard alongside a 286 PC in a building that was about to be demolished at the time and have been using it ever since for over 20 years now. 8-)

Nice! Pretty uncommon to find a Focus with Blue Alps.

Those are usually the very BEST keyboards to find, that were still attached to a PC  .

The former workers don't care neither the management, hence it's all GOLD for the finder who discovers this treasure ;) . When I worked as a "Reclaimer" we entered inside ex-factories and businesses to clear out ALL of their gear and sometimes, I came across functioning PC's, Monitors, Printers (Lasers B&W and Colour) and loads of keyboards.

Instead of turfing the lot into a huge waste bin I took a lot of stuff home, which the boss never cared about. I actually picked up tonnes of gear whilst working for them. It was both a glorious time and a treacherous aspect of filling up all of my home with all this free stuff.

Most of which was eventually turfed out (due to wife and kids) but the keyboards and a couple of near, brand new Laser printers.
