Hello everyone.

I recently came in possession of two packard bell 5130 keyboard.
The problem is that one work fine once connected to the pc through the adapter, while the other one has the blinking light problem.
Obviously the adapter is the same, so can anyone please help me to find out what's the problem?
Here's a picture of the back of the pcb, near the connector http://imgur.com/a/KdtgV

Thanks!

Sorry if the question is not clear.
I'm wondering if the keyboard not working, and the blinking locks light, are caused by those capacitors.

That is difficult to tell for certain, but other keyboards have suffered similar symptoms when they have had bad capacitors.

I think that you should replace those capacitors in either case. They should not be expensive - just a hassle and a wait to order.
A basic soldering iron that would be enough for the job shouldn't cost you much - and could be very useful for other things (building kit keyboards, desoldering switches etc.) so it would be worth getting anyway.
