As I mentioned, I'll be doing several remakes of my older videos, and this is the first one - the Dell AT101W, which was my first ever video originally . The video isn't just a HD remake, but a complete re-do. Hope you enjoy the video!

"Bamboo black alps are better than any cherry switch" are we talking about the same switch? Bamboo blacks are one of the most boring and shit mech switches I can think of. They are a good starter switch as you say, however, better than any cherry switch? come on. Are you just doing this cherry hate shit to piss us off? or do you really think cherry stuff is that bad?

I disagree with Chyros on that point as well. Linear modded and in great shape they might outstrip Cherries, but stock?

Bamboo blacks aren't great switches by any stretch, but at least they're actually tactile :p .

I should specify that I'm talking about Cherry-made MX switches here. I've tried some other MX-style but not Cherry-made switches that would cut bamboo blacks to bits.

And of course I'm only comparing within type here, as well. Bamboo blacks compared to MX brown and clear, linear-modded bamboo blacks to MX black and red, and click-modded bamboo blacks to blue and green. There's no sense comparing one tactile switch to another linear one, after all.

I consider bamboo blacks to be better than MX brown and clear, yes. Is that so strange? I'm honestly not a big lover of bamboo blacks, but they're tactile at least :p . I've said more controversial stuff than this, surely :p .

Their tactile feel (not the fact that they're tactile, but its uneven and halting nature) is precisely why so many enthusiasts rag on Black Alps. MX switches, though their tactile point is weak, aren't quite as offensive in that regard.

Oh, definitely. I agree completely. It's about as ugly as tactility gets xD .

Good strategy. Polarize, at least a bit and in certain thing, so people will remember you in history. ;D

When I started the video, I was surprised to see it was 25 minutes long! Didn't think you had THAT much praise for the AT101W.

I got two AT101Ws for free a while ago, I definitely think that the build quality is great and probably the strongest quality of the keyboard (unfortunately?). They still make great project boards though. Click-modding the switches makes them much more interesting; the heightened tactility helps hide that unpleasant second bump in travel, in my opinion.

Not so much the second half as more than 16 out of 25 minutes...

Also, this video is most confusing; black alps are shit, go buy some black alps.
