Have you never tried a G80-1000? The case is much much sturdier on those.
I agree that the G80-3000 cases aren't great, unfortunately. I love the big fat aesthetics though. The G80-1000s don't look quite as cool, but they make up for it in heft alone.

Oh, interesting. Well, fair enough. I personally wouldn't lump them all together.

What? I was talking about all Cherry cases.
There's a lot of variety, and even though they don't have metal plates (which is, in my opinion, actually nicer for Cherry linears since it's a lot less harsh if you bottom out) I think the earlier cases are pretty solid. Totally incomparable to new G80/G81 cases, most of which are very flimsy.
