Those should be Cherry compatible as (I assume!) they are Cherry switches ;-)
(There are M9 clones, but I am guessing those are Cherry.)
However, it's true that not all M9 switches accept MX keycaps.

They are LEGIIIT switches, but they don't accept MX keycaps, and the M9 keycaps I got don't work on cherry MX switches (a shame).
I've seen typewriter keyboards turned into standalone PC keyboards, but I'm not sure if I should do it. On the one hand, it takes up a considerable amout of space (I say that as someone with like 6 retro PCs and accessories), but on the other hand, this is a fully functional typewriter, and I kind of wanted an electronic typewriter (I have a small mechanical one on the shelf, but it's not comfortable to type on (you have to really push down the keys). What do you say to that?

It seems to be the same keycap mount as on my black slider M9 switches.
As for what you'd do with it, I don't know — all I can say is that I don't like seeing working equipment destroyed.

Yeah, I'd hate to just trash this, but I'd maybe turn it into a working keyboard if there was an easy way..
