Well, these are interesting.

Cast metal (likely aluminium) keyswitches! They have small microswitches inside of them, along with rubber gaskets (probably ultra extreme environments).
Going from the pins, likely hotswap as well.

I have about a numpads worth of the switches with date codes (1981 to 1985):
  • 8120
  • 8126
  • 8126
  • 8126
  • 8126
  • 8126
  • 8126
  • 8127
  • 8448
  • 8501
The other interesting thing, is how different the switches feel with a little bit of WD40

I'm guessing that these are going to be KS Series, since the part number format looks like that used with what we're calling SW Series. (Interestingly, with SD Series, the initial 1 became 1001, and the "1001SD" is left off the switches as it won't fit.)

Interesting indeed :)

Here's a 1KS1-T on ebay, with 100$ shipping to me :D :D :D (Free to our American friends).

So how do theses subjectively feel? Heavy I guess, smooth like SW? How pronounced is that tactility?

Also, do normal Honeywell key caps fit?

I can imagine one of these being used on a mass spec from the 1970's. Pretty amazing.

Some Micro Switch switches bought singly had a little leaflet inside the box — nothing visible in those photos, but it might be there. Sadly the leaflet I saw for an SW switch didn't actually call it "SW Series", but rather it read "Instruction Sheet SOLID STATE SWITCH MODULE REPLACEMENT":

Sadly, mine arrived loose, in a box labelled "Gourmet Small Batch French Fries", lol. So I don't have any further docs.
