Cherry G80-0705H / Bull Questar 210 Keyboard

A few days ago I recieved this interesting looking Cherry keyboard from 1990 which I got on ebay. It uses plate mounted MX Black switches with diodes, and has unusual legends on many of the keys. The vertically stepped keys are the thin kind sometimes found on very old Cherry MX boards, which was surprising considering how new this keyboard is.
I was hoping it would use AT or XT protocol having a DIN plug, but out of caution I traced the +5V and ground connections from the main controller to the pins on the din connector anyway: It turned out to be matching for those 2 at least, so I first tried getting it to work directly over PS2, then soarer's converter, both sadly to no avail.
