Bought my first Cherry keyboard in years. How should I bling it out?

I am back at it and I am going in hard and fast. Got a Tex Yoda II kit and I plan to make this baby as obnoxious as possible. I'm thinking some flashy backlit keycaps, custom spacebar, custom trackpoint (?), some artisans, case stickers. I probably will just stick with the stock white LEDs, though, and let the keycaps do the talking. Any other ideas
And what Cherry switch or Cherry clone should I get?
Some keycap ideas to start.

And I most certainly will need this carrying case:

Hahaha! I have a set of those gold keycaps. Matter of fact, take a look at this thread:

That is some tough competion. I think that I will lower my expectations. Maybe stick with something classically American obnoxious.
Wow, interesting. Looks like I totally missed that trend. So which type is closest to Cherry Brown, but with a larger tactile bump?

Those golden keycaps can be utilized better, perhaps in a mirror-polished all brass high-pro case?
These things below together.

The listed 75g of tactility seems like too much to me, but I know things are different in person.

Is than an opinion from experience or just a hunch? Personally, I try to go with the lightest tactile switch I can find, but still had a solid tactile feeling.

IMO faint underglow between the keycaps looks a lot cooler than shine-through legends, plus you get the benifits of good thickness, profile, ect of og cherry

Box Navy's will give you obnoxious. Make sure to put your keyboard on a hard resonant surface.

Hmm, that will be tough to beat, but I am leaning towards rainbow alpha-numerics and metallic modifiers.

Do you mean the keys around the trackpoint?
Speaking of, because this is a Tex Yoda, some artisans on the mouse keys are a must.

Yup. Saw someone make a set on reddit (not sure if he started a sale though). Guess his intention is to use any keyset and leave those 3 there.

I had some OG Cherry sets that actually had cutouts for a trackpoint. I should have kept those. Oh well.

Are they the ones that Ascii was selling a while back? That's what I had. Sold them when I got rid of all my Cherry boards.

Yeah, I would be happy to give you the GHB keys if you need em. I salvaged GHB keys from german sets and have been using those sets for awhile now.

In that case, I would say Kailh BOX Brown would work pretty okay. Similar weight to Cherry MX Brown but with a more pronounced bump. The bump also starts very close to the top of the keypress.
If that's too light, then BOX Burnt Orange should do you fine

Awesome, I'll let you know. I am leaning towards backlit keys at this point, but I could change my mind. Keyboard should arrive tomorrow.

Sounds like those are what I'm looking for. Are Zealios out of fashion now or something? I seem to remember those being all the rage.

Unsure why you WANT to make your board ugly, but sure. anyway no actual good quality shinethrough caps exist as far as I know.

I actually like a subtle white backlighting, which is what this one has. I can always just turn off the lights if I don't like them. I think.
These ones aren't bad, I had a set of them in the non-backlit variety and they are nice and thick. Only think I don't like is they are a high profile, and I prefer Cherry profile.
