A "general discussions thread"?

Do we have such a thing? I'm kind of missing a place where one could simply talk lightheartedly about boards without it necessary being tied to "Stuff you just bought" or "Identity the keyboard" etc.

For example: I have a connection that knows someone who wants to start a "live" museum for vintage tech, and he told me that he could ask for me if they had any surplus/extras and there was a specific board I was looking for.

So what thread is most fitting to post this question in? I hope you see my point. :) It just feels unnecessary to start a new thread just to ask a single question..

So are you just wanting keyboard discussion in general or something like Geekhack's "Simple Questions, Simple Answers"?

More like general keyboard discussion thread, yes. A place where you could pop by if you only have a simple question, or a place to "hang out", like a café, if you will. Like the guy that posted about having dreamt about keyboards, for example, I feel that would be a perfect thing to post in a thread like that, instead of making a whole thread about keyboard dreams..

I'm not sure if a theme-related forum is the best venue for this kind of talk. That said, we could test out creating a "General musings." thread in the off-topic board.

You could always just try it out in off-topic, if people engage then it will stay on the first page.
