Hello to community :)
I'm pretty new in the mechanical keyboard industry so I'll ask this instead.

Can anyone recommend me a good / best mechanical gaming keyboard for MMORPG gaming?
Would like to purchase 1 for my partner but dhe has an acquired taste.
I read a few and most say brown switches cherry mx but last I checked my partner's preference she prefers RED due to the 'clicky' sound? Also she only likes 'white/silver' colored ones?

I saw Logitech G413 (silver color) but apparently it doesnt use MX switches.
Just recommend any budget. At the moment the priority is
1st - Performance
2nd - Color (Must be white or silver)

Doesn't have to be full white or full silver. Combination of both is ok.
ideally white base + black keyboard :). For example;
the Cougar K700 (Silver base + Black Keyboards)

Thanks in advance~
If possible, provide picture or link and exact model to the keyboard you suggested :)

Hello,

MX Brown switches are mildly tactile; going by what you're saying your partner prefers linear switches, both the Cherry MX Red and MX Silver are of that variety.

"Clicky" switches are those with part of their design making a click noise at or very near the actuation point, in the Cherry MX lineup those would be the Blue, Green and White.

The G413 uses Omron "Romer-G" switches which are light tactile, allegedly similar to MX Brown but with a higher actuation point. (i.e. the key doesn't have to be pressed as far down to trigger the keypress.)

I see you're in Australia, so shipping considerations will probably impact what your best options are.

A very quick look points me to:

and

as potential candidates.

You've got some research and shopping to do :)

My impression is that most gamers who like MX switches prefer reds; but speaking as someone who's quite happy doing her admittedly rather inept gaming on a Model M, what do I know? :D
