Using clicky switch as clicker?

Has anyone ever tried to use a clicky switch as a clicker in a board? I've seen beepers, solenoids, and recently in bell but not other switches.

You would still need some kind of actuator to click it, such as a solenoid.
Yet another idea would be to use two speakers: one at the left and one at the right. Then modulate volume and delay of the sound sample to each speaker depending on where on the board you typed. Then you could perhaps exchange the sound and have volume control. Also, you could have a silent "night mode" or combined with software on the host to pipe it through the headphones instead of the keyboard's speakers.

A couple of years ago I went to a keyboard meetup in KY where someone had designed a MIDI keyboard with double actuation switches. I imagine that you could actually get a click to work individually by doing something similar but experimentation would be needed.
