Rubber dome model M feel great

I just received the NIB quiettouch M from orihalcon, very tactile and not very mushy at all. I think they're probably fairly underrated.

Is that the same as the recent(-ish? or possibly still current) Unicomp rubber-dome M? We have one somewhere; well, in fact my other half uses it and seems to like it. When I tried it out I sometimes got some double keystrokes but it's certainly a lot better overall than the £5 jobbies that are normally associated with domes.

I've never tried the unicomp one but it should be the same thing but definitely not bad enough to be "Sigh, rubber dome" and tossed.

Yeah, I would agree with that, and I quite like it, inasmuch as it's not a BS. It's consistent enough to almost be mistaken for a mechanical keyboard. I'd say it's probably quite similar to the DEC LK201 or whatever it is I have lying around that variously belongs to my VT320 and VaxStation, also rubber dome, but having actually tried it out after slandering it I realised it was actually a lot nicer than it "should" be. Not totally to my taste, but certainly in a different league to today's essentially disposable keyboards.
I've never tried them side-by-side (and can't at present as she's using it) but from memory, which is admittedly not the most reliable, they're not dissimilar.
