Cream Damped Alps Chattering (?) infinitely

Hey all,
On my Clueboard 60 w/ Cream Damped Alps, after a while of typing, a key will just start repeating itself infinitely until I unplug and replug the keyboard from my computer. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? These switches have not yet been cleaned, so I'm thinking that may be the problem, but I'm not sure and figured I'd ask for advice from people with more experience than me with this sort of thing. I'm also not using any case at the moment, but I don't really think that's the problem.
