Possibility of mounting SMK MX Mount on a modern PCB?

This is something interesting if it can be done.

Notice the pin, it look like the pin layout of a Cherry MX! I wonder if people had done this before.

I have seen someone put these in a g80-something. They aren't too good for pcb mounting though so they ended up making a small plate to help keep the switches aligned.

SMK-compatible pcbs are available from https://www.lfkeyboards.com/pcb/ (for sizes up to TKL)

I finished a 60% handwire board with clicky SMKs recently and had a bit of trouble convincing them to clip in properly to a 1.5mm plate. I think 1.2mm would work better.

There is a Chinese 60% PCB that supports alps/smk/plate spring, not sure is it still available

BlindAssasin111 on Geekhack can make you a SMK PCB. I'm going to use his service for my AppleReDesign Keyboard (currently on hold right now due to other projects)
