Did the IBM PS/2 only come with the "Model M" board?

Did the IBM PS/2 only come with the "Model M" board? The reason I ask is that a friend of mine has said, when asked if he has any IBM brand boards, and I quote: "However I do have other PS/2 keyboards and other bits from that era".
From what I know from here and geekhack, IBM, Lexmark, Unicomp etc ll made "Model M" boards, and they were often re-badged as Dell, Wang (?) etc. I just want to know if any IBM PS/2, or other PS/2 vintage systems came with re-branded "Model M" boards.
Thanks so much
