Hi there,
I have an old Cherry G81-3090 from a Schneider PC of 1991-1993. Great keyboard.

The error messenge is the one from the post title. Cable seems OK. What else could I check?

Thanks a lot

I've had a similar model.

Does the keyboard work? If not, do you at least have a Num Lock LED?
If nothing works, you could open up the keyboard case (clips best unclipped with wide flat screwdriver, Philips screws) and check if the cable has been disconnected or damaged internally.

Leds works for a second on startup. No more vital signals then. Just that error message before windows load.

I checked cables continuity and its fine.

In the past i cut the din5, dont know why. Probaby it was damage or probably it looked good but I though it was the problem. Anyway I connected another din5 with the help of the chip diagram that I found on the net.
I did a test: when I disconnect Data cable I have 2 error message (clock+ data failure if im right). When I disconect Clock cable I have the same message of the first post.
Dont know if this is something or not. Just comment as curiosity.
