Desk is uneven, KBC Poker wobbles - how to even up?

I was just about to write that my Poker is uneven and wobbles on my desk. Having placed it on another part of my desk it turns out that maybe my desk is more uneven than the Poker.

Or maybe the desk has just the right curve at that part of the table... Anyway, I am confused, and it's beside the point, because I prefer to have the keyboard stand on the side of the table, where it coincidentally wobbles.

Since it's easier to adjust the keyboard to the desk instead of evening out the latter, how can I do that? I guess I would need to put something on the lower left rubber foot, but I wonder what? Where can I get something like a soft rubber pad similar to the Poker's feet?

In the past I did one of these 'workarounds' for wobbly boards :
1. Put some plastic tape on the table at the wobbly spot. Disadvantage : The keyboard can't be swapped or moved.
2. Put some plastic tape on one of the boards feet. Disadvantage : you can't retract the feet.

Hope this helps.

Do this.
Works like a charm. I've had many cheap IKEA tables that get uneven fast, so I know it. :ugeek:

What size though? The square ones I am thinking about are not broad enough for the Poker, or am I missing something?

Well yeah, you need one thats more or less the width of your poker.... dunno exactly how long a poker is but here's some suggestions;

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/105500
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/54309
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/3629
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/67100

All the above are roughly 28cm wide (except for the wrist-rest, i threw that in cuz its just so awesome).

If a poker is 30cm or something like that wide these would do fine. If they are too big you can just cut em with kitchen pliers.

Oh also, wasnt there some guy either here or on geekhack that offered custom printed mousemats? That would be wicked.....

If it's not too uneven, you could try those small self-adhesive feet that are available at component suppliers and such. Maybe not the harder rubber ones, they'd have less squash than the neoprene type, though those seem less common. Typically they're sold by the sheet, but are cheap enough to try out.

What about some of that soft self-adhesive draught-excluder strip cut to length?

Aaaah, for $5 id just stick to the mousepad. Poker is small so youd wanna be able to use it at multiple locations anyways and sticking stuff to it would only get really messy with the sticky ooze always staying on the side you dont want it too stick.... and youll avoid the 'hmm, that corner needs a extra feet - oh crap now its too high, let me put another on on that other feet, crap now that opposite one also needs one more' etc until you end up with a board that 7 feet tall.

Oh yeah, thats the one i was thinking about!! Not too expensive if you like something personalized (im seriously making up reasons why i DONT need one of the large ones myself).
