Modding a Topre board -- how tight should the screws be upon reassembly?

Hello friends,

I was recently modding a Topre board to stick some BKE domes in it. Specifically it's the FC660C model, which has a metal plate. I have to wonder, though, how tight should the screws be upon reassembly? It seems that the tightness makes a decent impact on switch feel and sound; if I tighten it just enough so that there's a bit of resistance, the board feels better to type on, but also makes a far more rattly sound. If I really tighten it, the board sounds a bit better, but on off center key presses it can feel a bit more mushy.

Just curious as to what other's experience with this may be and whether or not they had found a decent balance.

I always tighten them good. But then I also always install damping rings when I’m in there, so rattle is not an issue.
